Lyubov Makhota, Director General of the Kharkiv Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention, stressed that victims of shelling are threatened, among other things, by a deadly disease — tetanus.
After one of the attacks on Kharkov, her colleague was injured in fragments. The wreckage was rusty and dirty. “It’s good that I managed to get a tetanus shot,” she said after the injury.
Makhota reminded that tetanus vaccination should be repeated every 10 years.
