A machine for humanitarian soil clearance has been created in Kharkiv

Kharkiv engineers have developed the first Ukrainian machine for the preparation of mine clearance and have already received permission for initial mass production.

This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko.

“In practice, these machines look like tractors pushing an ice rink weighing about 8 tons in front of them. At the same time, they effectively neutralize anti-personnel and anti-tank mines. Damaged rollers can be melted down into new ones, and spare parts can be easily installed in their place. Engineers have made equipment from a pile of metal that can significantly accelerate the pace of mine clearance,” Yulia Sviridenko said.

The advantages of this machine are ease of use, low cost in production and the possibility of maintenance and repair in Ukraine.
